Finance Business PartnerSunderlandUp to £60,000 benefits We are seeking a commercially astute Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic and fast-paced retail business. Working closely with the Senior Financial Controller, this role will play a critical part in providing financial insight, driving strategic decision-making, and improving business performance. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to deliver meaningful financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support profitable growth. Key Responsibilities include:- Act as a trusted financial advisor to operational teams, providing insight and challenge to improve business performance. Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives. Conduct financial analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and trends, translating complex financial data into actionable insights. Partner with senior management to support strategic initiatives, pricing strategies, and cost control measures. Provide variance analysis, explaining financial results, and recommending corrective actions where necessary. Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to enhance financial understanding and influence decision-making. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance and drive continuous improvement. Support financial modelling and scenario planning for new business opportunities and market changes. Key Skills & Competencies Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Proactive and results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Excel and financial software. Qualifications & Experience Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a commercial finance or finance business partnering role. Experience within the retail, FMCG, or consumer goods industry preferred. Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering.
