Duties for the position of Building Surveyor in Oxfordshire include taking the lead on damp & mould and disrepair issues, leading and guiding 2 x damp & mould Surveyors and a disrepair Surveyor. Spending time getting to know the suppliers, people and properties for which you are responsible. Additional duties for the Building Surveyor in Oxfordshire include: • To fulfil the client-side role, commissioning works and monitoring the output of the client’s contractors. • Preparing detailed reports outlining findings, causes, and recommended actions. • Conducting comprehensive surveys of properties to identify damp and mould issues. • Experience in managing varied workstreams and commissioning contractors is vital to this role, reporting on exceptions and ensuring that agreed timescales and quality are achieved. • Perform comprehensive inspections of residential properties to assess and document disrepair issues. • Leading a team of Surveyors, working collaboratively, to ensure that the client is consistent in their approach. The work will require you to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Maintaining records and provide reports to the Manager on progress. You will also contribute to the creation of future programmed work and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. • Bringing enthusiasm, energy and a “can do” attitude to the role. Helping to create a service that is agile and fit for purpose now and for the future. • You should have demonstrable knowledge of current property legislation, including but not limited to, damp and mould (inc. Awaab’s Law), compliance, disrepair and decent homes.
