Working as part of a project delivery team on a prison expansion project in South Devon, HMP Channing’s Wood, you will be responsible for leading multiple workstreams to support the lead Project Manager in delivering outcomes within time, cost, and quality requirements. You will guide and coordinate with all relevant parties to understand and deliver project objectives and KPIs, providing day-to-day management and leadership of the project and team.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Determining project management, technical services, and external resources required for projects.
* Delivering project objectives according to the project execution plan, leading and supervising project teams and stakeholders to achieve KPIs.
* Monitoring health, safety, and wellbeing aspects throughout all project stages.
* Preparing and updating project plans regularly.
* Overseeing project timelines and budgets, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.
* Ensuring quality systems are in place and monitored.
* Leading meetings, providing analysis, and recording site walks.
* Engaging in risk management and stakeholder coordination.
* Maintaining documentation and ownership of project changes.
* Contributing to net zero carbon transition efforts by managing associated emissions and reductions during delivery.
You’ll need to have:
* Proven experience in managing small to medium projects.
* Strong communication, presentation, and planning skills.
* Budget oversight expertise.
* Understanding of project management methodologies.
* Excellent negotiation skills and stakeholder engagement.
* Technical qualifications relevant to project portfolios.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and sector-specific standards.
You’ll also have:
* Knowledge of the consultancy, construction, infrastructure, and property sectors.
* Prince2 or equivalent certification.
* Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or equivalent membership.
