Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School (Complex Needs) – Winchester
A modern, purpose-built secondary school in Winchester is seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role provides an opportunity to support students with complex needs within a specialist educational environment designed to cater to their learning and developmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing targeted support to students with complex learning needs, ensuring they have access to a high-quality education.
* Assisting in the implementation of personalised learning plans, working closely with teachers and support staff.
* Supporting students in both academic progress and social development.
* Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience in an educational setting is highly desirable.
* Experience supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is particularly advantageous.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to supporting young people.
Employment Details:
* Full-time position.
* Initially employed through Teaching Personnel, with a transition to a permanent school contract upon successful completion of the probationary period.
* Hourly pay: £13.80.
