Head of Property Competitive Day Rate (Inside IR35) Location: Greater Manchester Job Type: Temporary Reed are supporting a Greater Manchester Local Authority in their recruitment to an Interim Head of Property. In this role, you will have responsibility for the operation Estate and Facilities Management services across a number of sites. This pivotal role involves leading the delivery of a Land and Property Business Plan with significant line management responsibility. You will help ensure compliance with legal and statutory regulations, maintaining a forward-looking, environmentally conscious approach. Day-to-day of the role: Develop and maintain key assets and services leading change programmes to ensure estate and facilities are well-maintained and responsive to emerging needs. Provide strategic oversight of Estate Planning within the organisation, ensuring alignment with long-term goals. Manage the full range of hard and soft FM services, including statutory, planned, and reactive maintenance. Oversee the commercial and performance management of Estates contracts, managing multi-million-pound estate and building programmes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a senior property and/or estates management role, preferably within the public sector. Strong leadership skills with significant experience in managing teams and contractors. Expert knowledge of estate management, facilities operations, and compliance regulations. Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
