We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and motivated team member to join our busy Housing Assets Team as a Damp and Mould Inspector. Assets is a small team within the Housing Assets Service and plays an important role in ensuring our residents' homes are safe and comfortable.
Key Responsibilities:
* To assist in the delivery of an effective and efficient Asset management service, working collectively and collaboratively on the delivery of works to resident’s homes and communal areas.
* To carry out damp and mould inspections of properties to assess condition and identify required works to bring properties to the Council’s required standards.
* To ensure that works completed on site are as ordered and are of good quality.
* To promote and provide effective and efficient high quality customer service.
The post is a permanent full-time position. This role requires a satisfactory basic disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

About You:
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and an ability to deal with our customers in a polite and professional manner. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a “can do” attitude and will be willing to go the extra mile. A flexible approach covering a wide range of services and the ability to resolve customers' enquiries at the first point of contact is essential.
Candidates must have proven experience working in a construction/building environment, be able to diagnose building faults, and be numerate and literate. Experience in writing reports is preferable.
