Locum Band 5, 6 & 7 Podiatrists - Clinics and Home Visits

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Locum Band 5, 6, and 7 Podiatrists to work supporting the teams in the Guildford area. The successful candidates will provide podiatric care across a range of settings, including our clinics and through home visits, to patients with various foot and lower limb conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a varied caseload, supporting patients to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assessment and Diagnosis: Provide comprehensive assessments of foot and lower limb conditions, making accurate diagnoses, and developing appropriate treatment plans.
2. Treatment and Care: Deliver a range of podiatric treatments, including nail care, wound management, biomechanics, diabetic foot care, and treatment for skin and nail conditions.
3. Home Visits: Conduct home visits for patients who are unable to attend clinics, delivering high-quality care in their own homes.
4. Patient Education: Offer advice and education on foot health, preventative measures, and appropriate footwear.
5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, in accordance with trust guidelines and professional standards.
6. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
7. Service Development: Contribute to the ongoing development of podiatric services and clinical practice.
8. Flexible Working: Opportunities to work in both clinic and community settings, offering flexibility to meet patient needs.
Requirements
1. HCPC Registered Podiatrist.
2. For Band 5: Newly qualified or with some experience in podiatric practice.
3. For Band 6: Significant clinical experience, including a wide range of podiatric treatments and some experience of complex cases.
4. For Band 7: Extensive clinical experience, including a high level of expertise in treating complex podiatric conditions and leading service development.
5. Experience in providing podiatric care in community settings or through home visits is desirable.
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with patients and other healthcare professionals.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
8. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
9. Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
10. Full UK driving license and access to a car (for home visits).
Desirable
1. Experience in diabetic foot care, wound care, and podiatric surgery.
2. Knowledge of orthotics and biomechanics.
3. Experience with podiatric assessments and treatment for a range of lower limb conditions.
