£35,000 - £45,000 DOE + Flexible Working & Career Development
Permanent | 37 Hours Per Week | Half-Day Fridays
About the Role:

My client, a well-established and family-run engineering company, is looking for a Design Engineer to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in Autodesk Inventor and a knack for designing powder handling systems or similar engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work alongside the Head of Engineering and Project Managersto develop bespoke designs for powder handling systems.
* Use Autodesk Inventor to create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings.
* Manage design changes efficiently and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with production teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure seamless project execution.
* Attend design review meetings, contribute ideas, and oversee key project phases from conception to manufacture.
* Liaise with clients to ensure designs meet specifications and gain approval before production.
* Support continuous development initiatives within the engineering team.
What We’re Looking For:
* 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (experience with rotary machinery is an advantage).
* A background in fabrication or mechanical design to support product development.
* Excellent organisational skills – able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
* A proactive, problem-solving approach – we need someone who gets stuck in and delivers results!
* A team player with a great sense of humour – we believe work should be enjoyable!
