We are looking for a Junior PHP Developer to join a growing in-house development team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to exciting and innovative projects, including software that has powered a TV channel! The team is expanding, with plans to reach seven developers and a QA engineer by mid-year, so it is an exciting time to join.
This is a full-time, 100% office-based role at the headquarters in Snodland, Kent. Unfortunately, remote or hybrid working is not available, as they believe in close collaboration and teamwork within their office environment.

The Role:
As a Junior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of web applications that are crucial to business operations. You will be working with CakePHP (or similar frameworks like Laravel), contributing to a variety of exciting projects in a high-growth environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with the team to analyse requirements and design scalable solutions.
* Developing and maintaining web applications using CakePHP (or Laravel).
* Writing clean, well-structured, and well-documented code.
* Troubleshooting and debugging applications.
* Implementing new features based on user requirements.
* Participating in code reviews and continuous learning.
About You:
To excel in this role, you should have:
* 1-2 years of commercial experience in PHP development.
* Strong understanding and practical experience with the CakePHP framework (or Laravel).
* Experience working with MySQL databases.
* Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and a desire to learn and grow
