RAC have a great opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join our fast-paced Risk & Compliance teamon a permanent basis. You will offer independent assurance regarding the effectiveness of the organisations risk management, governance, and control processes. You will collaborate with all areas of the RAC to assess how risks are being managed, how the business is functioning, and whether internal processes are effective. The scope of your audits may vary, but your primary focus will be to address any issues that could impact the businesss survival and success. By working closely with senior management, you will provide stakeholders with the assurance that the business is being managed effectively. You will need to be part or fully qualified IIA Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) to be considered for this role. This role will be a hybrid role, where you will spend two days in either our Bradley Stoke or Bescot offices, and three days at home. WhatYoull Do Plan audits by assessing the relevant business areas, understanding their strategic objectives, operations, and processes. Analyse risks in the identified areas and produce a risk assessment, including both inherent and residual risk ratings, while documenting compensating controls. Evaluate the design effectiveness of internal controls and document the results. Develop a work programme to adequately test the operational efficiency of controls, utilizing the appropriate audit methods related to the highest-risk areas within the scope of the business. Detail the work to be undertaken in a Terms of Reference, including an accurate representation of timelines and resource requirements. Test the effectiveness of the control framework and report results in the agreed-upon format. Prepare reports detailing audit activities, advising of any issues discovered, and the agreed solutions. Track agreed Internal Audit Actions through to completion, ensuring appropriate evidence is documented. WhatYoull Need To be considered for this role youll need to be part or fully qualified IIA Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), along with the following: Previous experience of working in an Internal Audit role. Be able to produce, analyse and interpret complex data to identify trends/issues. Be able to produce reports and recommendations for audiences up to executive board level. Have a strong understanding of internal control frameworks and risk management principles. Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
