Job: Food Production Operative
ESS Employment Ltd are looking for Food Production Operative to work for our client in Nailsworth. As a Kitchen Operative you will be working in a clean room environment handling food product. You will be weighing products, mixing, using catering equipment and packing in a state-of-the-art unit. Full training is given so we are looking for enthusiastic team players to join our clients growing team.
Main duties and responsibilities –
1-Hygiene Operations (cleaning of equipment, waste management)
2-Food handling and preparation.
3-Keeping working area clean and tidy
4-Some work to be carried out within cold storage areas.
5-Adhering to all site rules following induction.
6-PPE and clean room items will be assigned to you, which must be always worn. Including a disposable hair net, beard net if required, coat and gloves. Trainers and shoes will need to be covered with a disposable cover.
7-Must be fit and active and able lift to 25kg (occasional lifting)
8-Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
9-Understand the required standards that help minimise the risk to food safety including temperature control, cross contamination of products.
10-Completing traceability paperwork
Tasks–
1- Weighing vegetables, herbs, and spices
2- Mixing and Blending duties
3- Picking, packing, and dispatching of products
4- Making up and preparing boxes for delivery
5- Putting bags ready for delivery
6- General production duties
Please note that as you will be working in a food production environment no make-up, jewellery, watches, or any type of wrist band are allowed to be worn.
