The role Our client, a respected Steel Engineering firm, are looking for an Engineering Production Manager to manage the production team and facility. You will ensure that works are planned and undertaken efficiently and accurately to the highest standards. The business is well known for projects in the Rail, Highways and Construction sectors. The main duties will include planning, organizing, directing, and controlling production activities. Other major responsibilities will include scheduling production, quality, inventory of materials and finished products, and identifying and developing process improvements. You You will have considerable experience of Engineering & Fabrication with the associated expertise and experience at contract and technical management level. Significant exposure to people and site management issues including the rail environment is essential. Knowledge of ISO Management systems and Auditing procedures is also a requirement. Develop and implement plans to meet production goals and deadlines. Manage a team of production supervisors and workers. Schedule and coordinate production activities to ensure maximum efficiency. Able to identify and resolve production-related problems promptly. Ensure the highest standards and quality of the finished product to customer expectations. Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records of production data and costs. Develop innovating ways to undertake Fabrication and Engineering Works using new equipment and flexible methods between engineering disciplines whilst maintain a high level of safety within the business undertakings.
