We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician/ACT to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Isle of Wight, a category B men's prison, located in the Isle of Wight.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours:
This is a full-time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team work a rolling rota over 4 weeks, 3-4 shifts per week. Hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm, with potential to work on weekends if needed. This is a permanent role.
Salary:
This position is full-time; you'll receive an annual salary up to £43,500 depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide outstanding quality-based patient-centred care to our patients.
* Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners, and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of.
* Promote best practice, evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients.
* Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines management, drug regimes, medicines legislation, and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.

Qualifications required:
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
