Contract Length - 3-6 months with a view to being extended.

We are working with a local authority based in the West Midlands who are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Solicitor to join their team.
The successful candidate will be expected to carry a mixed caseload of contracts and procurement work, which includes but is not limited to:
providing complex legal and procurement advice to clients on various matters relating to all Directorates of the Council.
reviewing, drafting and advising on a variety of complex agreements including frameworks, services contracts, ICT contracts, social care contracts, collaboration agreements, section 75 agreements and various central and local government grant funding arrangements.
undertaking the role of lead legal advisor on large complex projects and coordinating advice and roles and responsibilities across the project team.
advising on Council Constitution, Procurement Regulations, governance and decision making.
In order to be considered for this role, you should be:
Qualified legal professional (Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent)
Experienced in contract and procurement law within a local authority.
Able to communicate effectively with members, senior officers and clients.
Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail will also be important.
