About The Role: As a Learning Support Mentor, you will provide tailored assistance to students, helping them navigate their educational journey and overcome barriers to learning. Your role will involve working closely with teachers and students to promote academic achievement, emotional well-being, and personal growth. Responsibilities of Learning Support Mentor: Support students in and out of the classroom to foster a positive learning experience. Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans tailored to student needs. Work with students on a one-to-one or small group basis to build confidence and skills. Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, inclusive environment. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies. Provide additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) where required. Act as a role model, offering mentorship and guidance to encourage personal development. The successful candidate will: Previous experience in a learning support or similar role is advantageous. SEN experience is a bonus but not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with young learners. Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
