Description Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is seeking expression of interest applications for a Project Engineer ideally with experience in Automation and Control to support one of our UK projects due to start in November 2024. This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, mobility and travel to customer sites and face to face meetings with colleagues will be expected. This position can either be staff or contract. Applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the successful delivery of the control and safety systems (ICSS) scope. The role will support the Senior Project Engineer in the day-to-day administration and delivery of projects, in accordance with Wood Quality Management Systems. Responsibilities Contributes to the Project Execution Plan, Discipline Design Instruction and Contract requisitions; prepares project plans and multi-discipline documents such as basis of design, subcontract scopes of work Able to manage and coordinate engineering multidiscipline inputs and deliverables across multiple execution centers including workshare / high value engineering centers Knowledge, skills and experience Fully understands technical work scopes including commercial aspects and has working knowledge of specifications and standards. Understands the concept of customer satisfaction and is able to deliver to internal customers, including other Engineering disciplines Understands and knows how to apply the procedures and work practices which define and govern Engineering Management and Project Engineering deliverables Commercially astute and able to implement Change control Has a good knowledge of standards, procedures and work practices; follows project execution flow chart; good skills in project and technical execution Able to lead Project Engineering team; able to manage between Engineering Discipline Groups Competent at managing technical matters and interfaces with Third Parties Qualifications ISCED Level 6 Bachelor’s (minimum) degree or Level 7 Masters (preferred) in an engineering discipline Professional Engineer or engineering chartership preferred Able to drive project area to completion, taking ownership for all that occurs within it Actively looks to develop skills; monitors work done by others and provides positive feedback Able to adapt to changing priorities Strong planning, organising and execution skills Works effectively as a member of a team Empowers people, leads by example, recognises and rewards good performance
