About the Opportunity:

What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Leading a team of Planning and Cost Engineers, ensuring consistency and high standards across all control functions within the designated portfolio.
2. Driving compliance with the Investment Delivery Process (IDP) and advising stakeholders on best practices in project controls.
3. Developing, reviewing, and maintaining fully integrated cost and resource-loaded project schedules using approved methodologies and structures.
4. Overseeing project monitoring techniques, including earned value analysis, physical progress tracking, and trend analysis across all projects.
5. Producing accurate and insightful project reports, working closely with Project Managers and Programme Managers to meet reporting deadlines.
6. Managing risk and change control processes and identifying areas of potential cost or schedule variance.
7. Supporting recruitment and resource planning for the wider project controls team.
8. Contributing to the improvement of project control tools, processes, and capabilities.
What You’ll Need:
1. Degree (or equivalent) in a numerate or project-related discipline.
2. Strong background in project controls, with experience in planning and cost functions.
3. Skills in data analysis and interpreting project performance trends for decision-making.
4. Familiarity with interdependencies between time, cost, and commercial outcomes.
5. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and understanding of planning methodologies.
6. Experience with project management tools such as SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.
7. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
8. Knowledge of earned value principles, cost management systems, and reporting tools.
9. MACostE membership or similar professional accreditation is desirable.
