**Job Overview:**As an experienced system software engineering manager, you will lead thesystem software team for an exciting new range of Arm hardware devices aimedat AI use cases. You will work with architects, other technical leaders andproject managers to define, estimate, plan and deliver work for your team. Youwill also be the line manager for the team, handling the full range ofactivities such as hiring, development and performance evaluations.This team is part of the wider software group in Arm. Our mission is to ensuresuccessful deployment of the Arm architecture into key software ecosystems.This role is based in Arm’s Cambridge office.**Responsibilities:**
* Leading a high-performing team of up to 5 engineers.
* Configure, build and test Linux kernel
* Installation of software packages into Linux
* Analysing and improving performance of system software
* Bring up of software within simulated, FPGA and hardware environments
**Required Skills and Experience:**
* Experienced C developer
* Expertise in configuring, building and testing Linux-based systems using
systems such as Yocto, buildroot, Bazel or Blaze
* Expertise in analysing and improving software performance
* Experience in managing other engineers
* Effective communicator and ability to collaborate well within and across
teams**“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:**· Experience of software development using physical and simulated hardwaredevices· Knowledge of the Arm AArch64 architecture.
