Willmott Dixon are looking torecruit a Local Head of People to partner with our Group IT andSustainability and Compliance teams. You will bring a peopleperspective to business decisions and ensure that our people sengagement wellbeing development performance and successionunderpins our ability to achieve our businessplans.
Todeliver this role most effectively you will be based at our Headoffice in Letchworth Garden City but you will also be supported towork from home so that you can achieve a work/life balance. Thisrole is a 12month fixed term contract (maternitycover).
Reportingto the Group Head of People (Operations) you will also work closelywith the Group People team and your experience and ability willenable youto:
* Leadthe people engagement survey locally and develop plans to delivercontinuous improvement in the engagement and recognition of peoplein theregion
* Providecoaching to leaders to develop complementary highperformance teamsand drive accountability. Maximise funding opportunities for theregion.
* Proactivelyidentify and address organisational development issues by workingwith the local leadership teams to assess performance gaps as wellas any learning and developmentneeds
* Bea trusted adviser to the board of directors on all people relatedmatters
* Ensurethat the impact of business decisions on people is fully taken intoconsideration
* Providepastoral support and protect the business by supporting managers inthe identification and management of wellbeing across the team andwithin workingpractices.
* Dealwith ER matters relating to the board or whenrequired
* Ensurehigh performer potential is realised and poor performance istackled through growing the skills of our managers in holdingdifficult conversations through toconclusion.
* Usebusiness analytics to measure our people make recommendations forimprovement change andgrowth
* Proactivelyshare best practice and learning and be prepared to support otherregional companies whenrequired.
