Overview: Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with SEND experience looking for a new teaching role in an excellent primary school in Stevenage? Do you enjoy supporting students across KS1 or KS2 who need a helping hand? We are seeking an enthusiastic and SEN experienced Teaching Assistant who can work full-time on a temporary to permanent basis. You will be expected to support a diverse group of students, helping them excel in their core subjects and provide emotional support when required. This role is for one term, initially with the option to become permanent. Teaching Assistant or SEN qualifications are preferred, however experience of working in a school setting as a teaching assistant is essential. You will need to:
* Work as a teaching assistant by supporting children in all areas of personal and educational development.
* Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
* Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership to enhance the educational experience.
* Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to child protection and safeguarding.
* Within your role as a Teaching Assistant you will need to follow agreed lesson plans and support the teaching of individual or groups of students SEND needs.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with vulnerable children.
* Teaching Assistant or SEN Qualifications (Preferred)
* Confidence in maintaining a good code of behaviour.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students
