GardenerLocation: Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, GL7 6JSSalary: £22,680 - £25,742 per annum (salary review pending)Hours and basis: Permanent role, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday but occasional flexibility may be needed to meet the needs of the business.Are you passionate about maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces and ensuring safety for all? We are looking for a dedicated Gardener to help keep our University campus in top condition.Key responsibilities:Work with the existing gardener to manage the gardens and outdoor spacesMaintain lawns, borders, woodlands, paths, roads, and signageOperate grounds maintenance equipment and manage seasonal hazards (leaves, snow, ice)Water, feed, and prune plants in line with seasonal growth cyclesSupport University events by preparing and maintaining groundsEnhance the campus with new planting and biodiversity projectsMaintain accurate gardening and maintenance recordsWork closely with the wider maintenance teamWhat we are looking for:GCSEs or equivalent educationExperience in grounds maintenance and amenity horticultureSkilled in using horticultural tools and machineryKnowledge of tree and shrub maintenancePhysically fit with a hardworking, flexible approachAble to work independently and in a teamThe Royal Agricultural University (RAU) has been at the forefront of agricultural education for over 175 years.
