Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an ambitious Accountant to join an innovative business as the Senior Financial Accountant, working as part of a highly effective team. This is a unique senior finance role where no two days will be the same.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing financial expertise and supporting multiple projects from planning through to their eventual completion.
This will include:
1. Managing the financial transactions
2. Financial analysis
3. Producing accurate and timely financial reporting on the financial performance of projects for the business and various stakeholders
4. Identifying and resolving issues as they arise
5. Business partnering
6. Stakeholder management (investors, grant providers and social enterprises)
As a senior member of the finance team, you will naturally provide support within the finance team and across other business areas as needed.
Senior Financial Accountant - The Rewards
Salary: Up to c.£55,000pa depending on experience
Benefits: Company pension scheme, flexible working policies, 25 days leave + Bank holidays, ongoing support and CPD as well as future progression.
Hours of work: 36 hours per week Mon - Fri (9 day working days per fortnight)
Location: Hybrid -two days per week in the office

Senior Financial Accountant - The Person:
1. We are keen to hear from qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA) with a desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, change environment where you will be hands on.
2. Excellent technical knowledge as well as a proven recent track record in delivering accurate financial reporting is essential; tax and VAT knowledge is highly desirable.
3. You'll be a confident communicator able to build effective relationships with non-finance partners, a team player and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with colleagues at all levels in the business.
4. A self-starter, you'll be a natural solutions finder with excellent analytical skills, able to analyse, understand and explain information to non-finance staff at all levels.
5. Excel skills including use of formulas, look ups and pivot tables are essential.
