Cover Supervisor – Full-Time Role Location: Stockport Contract: Full-time, starting ASAP until the end of the academic year Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week Teaching Personnel is seeking a confident and motivated individual to take on the role of Cover Supervisor at a well-regarded secondary school in Stockport. Rated Good by Ofsted, the school is looking for someone who can step into classrooms when teachers are absent, ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning and that lessons run smoothly. The Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson materials, ensuring students remain on task, and managing classroom behaviour effectively. While planning and marking work is not required, your presence and guidance will be essential in maintaining the school’s high standards of education. Key responsibilities include: Supervising whole classes across a variety of subjects, ensuring students follow the work set by the teacher. Managing classroom behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies and expectations. Providing support to students, answering any questions, and encouraging active participation. Reporting lesson progress and any incidents to relevant teaching staff. Covering lessons for absent teachers while ensuring a smooth and structured learning environment. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with young people in an educational setting, tutoring, mentoring, or youth work (desirable but not essential, as training will be provided). Can confidently manage a classroom and encourage positive student engagement. Is adaptable and able to work across different year groups and subject areas. Has strong communication and organisational skills. Holds a degree or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential).
