Location: Braintree, Essex
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if available)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS (dependent on experience)
Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary academy based in Braintree, Essex, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Economics and Business Studies Early Career Teacher to join their vibrant Humanities and Social Sciences faculty.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified teacher looking to begin their career in a supportive school that values innovation, academic excellence, and professional development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach both Economics and Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Economics and Business Studies
Inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential through excellent subject knowledge and creative teaching strategies
Monitor student progress and use data to inform planning and interventions
Contribute to the wider life of the department and participate in enrichment activities, including enterprise events and business challenges
Engage fully in the school’s Early Career Teacher programme, receiving regular mentoring and support
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
QTS (or be on track to achieve QTS by September 2025)
A degree in Economics, Business Studies, or a related subject
A passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students develop a strong understanding of real-world economic and business concepts
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage young learners
A commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working
