About the role:
This role is a fixed term contract for approximately 14 months, to cover maternity leave. We are based in Bradford-on-Avon and would require someone in the office 3 days a week, with the other 2 days spent working from home. For the right candidate, we are open to discussing working days and hours.
Salary Range:
£35,000- £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Strategy Team:
The Strategy Team at Team Eleven is small, highly agile and baked into every nook and cranny of our client work.
We’re involved in helping clients with upstream business planning to downstream comms planning and touching everything from business casing to brand building based on solid insight to social content planning to TVC briefs to putting in a casual observation of things flowing through the agency.
We don’t live in an ivory tower throwing insights and a brief every now and then. We’re closely aligned to the Client Leads, a consultant and advisor to our senior clients, a driver of fresh thinking, the energy to bring new ideas, the thought leaders. We collaborate with client services and creative, bringing business objectives and consumer insight into focus with conviction and passion.
What kind of person makes a great Strategist?
We are looking for a Strategist to work on our lead client, across our existing portfolio and new business projects. Day to day you’d be working with the Strategy Director as well as our Client Services teams. You will work to shape a range of client strategies alongside key client leads on a diverse range of brands and projects.
We are offering this position at a midweight level and can be flexible on level of experience for the right candidate. What we’re looking for is the gravitas and personality to not only bring your own fresh thinking but also to act as an ambassador for the agency at all times.
You should be comfortable presenting to clients and creating decks which are clear, articulate and compelling. You’ll be given a lot of autonomy so building trust and confidence is vital with the strategy team and across the business. Collaboration is key. We don’t believe in silos or agendas.
Main Responsibilities & Duties:
* Delivering and contributing to brand, communications and channel planning across our client base and wide variety of projects including TV, press, digital, social media, mobile, eCRM, research and innovation.
* Contributing strategic insights/ideas to current and new business pitches.
* Communication planning and briefing driven by insights about categories and consumers and aligned with communications objectives. Including writing, contributing and delivering creative briefs to mix of in-house and squad creative teams.
* Continually adding value to the output of the agency to deliver on our growth ambitions.
* Actively seeking latest news on trends and dialogue to influence and optimise the agency output.
* Contributing to the thought leadership position of the agency.
* Attendance and contribution to key client meetings.
* Building and maintaining relationships with internal teams, squad members and clients.
Requirements:
* 2+ years agency experience desirable but not essential.
* Experience of comms planning, ideally with B2B experience, and how insights can be used to influence behaviour.
* Naturally curious and passionate about creativity, brands and advertising.
* Hands on rather than stood back.
* Adaptable.
* A competent, articulate and persuasive communicator in person and in writing.
* Comfortable working dynamically and at pace both individually and within a group.
* Inherently a ‘people’ person with a natural ability to build relationships and foster strong relationships with individuals.
* Ambition to be a part of a fast paced, growing business.
* Confidence and self-assurance are good, arrogance is not needed.
* Be happy to travel (UK & Europe) on occasion to meet Clients.
Reporting:
This position reports directly into the Strategy Director and Managing Director.
