Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and meal preparation for our members, guests, and visitors - ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
1. Assist the Head Cook in the preparation of meals, ensuring all food is prepared in accordance with recipes and food safety guidelines.
2. Help with the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining a tidy work area.
3. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and practices throughout all stages of food preparation.
4. Assist in inventory management by helping to receive deliveries and store food items properly.
5. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
6. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
2. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
5. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to develop culinary skills further.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the kitchen schedule.

Pay: Up to £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
