Your new role
An Interim Financial Accounting Manager role for the UK, reporting to the Group Financial Controller and UK FD. You will be responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts for all group companies and liaison with the auditors on disclosure notes and filing where required. You will prepare monthly balance sheet and cash flow reports for the group, including actuals and forecasting. Prepare and reconcile quarterly VAT submissions and liaise with HMRC where required. Prepare and provide supporting information for the annual UK corporation returns and computations, including deferred tax computations for the group and liaise with tax advisors where required. You will liaise with the UK and Group Finance teams, Auditors, Company Secretary, HMRC and tax advisors for all statutory entities where required. You will support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with management and department heads. Work closely and gather financial data from the portfolio team, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements as requested by the Group finance team. Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations. Support and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard the Group and Company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This will include internal audits, to assess compliance with internal controls and procedures. You will also keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and implement any necessary adjustments.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant, ideally with experience of public practice and industry, with extensive financial accounting and reporting experience. You will be highly IT literate and used to partnering with colleagues at all levels, in a complex business. You will possess good communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Highly organised with the ability to plan and pay attention to details, prioritise and deal with multiple workflows at any one time. You will be available to start quickly and happy to commit to an assignment of at least 6 months.
