We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Engineering ICA Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The Engineering team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
ICA Engineering sits within The Engineering Team in our Asset Delivery department and has accountability for all Instrumentation, Control Systems and Automation within the Yorkshire Water across the whole project lifecycle. As well as governing our C&I assets we have a programme of work to the value of ~£70m across AMP8 to ensure our assets remain regulatory compliant and resilient to provide safe drinking water and protect the environment.
The Project Manager (ICA) will be work alongside our Engineers to manage the finances of this spend and to report to the business & industry regulators on our progress and milestones against our KPI’s.
Where you fit in:
As our Project Manager (ICA) you will:
* Join our Engineering ICA Team, managing and successfully delivering capital projects to time, cost & quality
* Lead collaborative project teams consisting of YW & Partner colleagues, plus other stakeholders, to efficiently deliver your programme of work
* Manage a programme budget on multiple projects of varying values at any one time and over multiple financial years
* Draft and manage project contracts with our Partners, assisted by project sponsors and specialist contract & commercial colleagues
* Keep a spotlight on Health & Safety, Carbon net zero targets, and Environmental sustainability, ensuring they remain a high priority in your project delivery
* Work with key stakeholders and customers, both internal & external, maintaining effective communication, positive relationships, and managed expectations
* Obtain project funding approvals, and maintain good financial governance throughout the life of your projects
* Ensure accurate project data is maintained in various systems, including monthly forecasting of expenditure and key milestone dates.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Experience in developing and managing project plans; including managing projects to time, cost and quality targets
* APM (PMQ) accredited (or a willing to work towards this)
* An effective decision maker with experience and knowledge of project implementation
* Experience of compiling, assessing, interpretation and communicating data
* Effective communication skills, able to communicate and influence across the business and at all levels.
* Experience in both internal and external stakeholder management experience
* Capable of identifying project risks, acting on those issues and working with colleagues to find a solution
* Advanced user of Microsoft Office packages - Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word
* Willing to work from various sites as the work demand
You will also benefit from having:
* Knowledge of the regulatory framework and legislation relevant to the water industry.
* Specific knowledge of Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA)
* Experience of delivering training/coaching/facilitation in a project environment
* IT literate with various software e.g., Geographic Information Systems (Odyssey), SAP S4, EDMS, AI2 etc.
