SEMH Teacher
Job Description
NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a school provision based in Leeds (LS14). This school are currently looking to hire a SEMH teacher with strong experience working with children/young adults with social and emotional mental health needs. The chosen candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience within the mental health care sector. This role requires strong behaviour management skills, team teach training and a passion for supporting children and young adults in their education and development. The school is a small provision, with a high ratio of staff to pupils,. therefore, strong communication is vital to be able to successfully liaise with your team and about each individuals tailored leaning plan. The schools focus is to put pupils first in all that they do, and they have recently won a mental health award.
Requirements for an SEMH Teacher:
* Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
* Strong experience and knowledge of SEMH needs
* Team Teach trained
* Excellent communication skills
* Two professional references
* An Enhanced child or child and adult DBS on the update service
