Helpdesk Administrator – Temporary Role
PRS are seeking a Helpdesk Administrator for a temporary position, expected to last approximately three months. This role follows a 16-week rotating shift pattern, covering days, nights, and weekends.
Pay & Benefits:
Starting rate: £12.07 per hour
Enhancements for unsocial hours (nights and weekends)Shift Patterns:
Early: 06:00 – 14:00
Day: 09:00 – 17:00
Afternoon: 11:00 – 19:00
Evening: 14:00 – 22:00
Night: 22:00 – 06:00
Key Responsibilities:
Providing a polite, efficient, and professional helpdesk service via phone and face-to-face communication.
Responding swiftly to emergency calls and alarms, including major incidents, fire, cardiac arrest, and infant emergencies, following hospital protocols.
Accurately recording and reporting information, as well as liaising with relevant teams for any telephone or alarm system faults.
Coordinating official taxi bookings, ensuring cost-effective use of the service and verifying accounts before authorization.
Managing private call costs, invoicing, and submitting reports.
Assisting with telephone service operations, including programming devices such as bleeps, mobiles, faxes, and pagers.
Maintaining essential records, including on-call duty boards, leave lists, and emergency contact information.
Mentoring and training new staff members to uphold high service standards.
Implementing procedures for Major Incidents, ensuring rapid and effective responses.
Performing any additional duties as directed by the Customer Liaison Manager.Who Should Apply?
