You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, client, and UKPN Services standards, and lead a team of engineers to produce top-tier design solutions. Your role will involve technical liaison with suppliers and clients, creating new business opportunities, and ensuring successful project delivery. Principal Accountabilities: Develop and oversee the delivery of electrical infrastructure designs Provide technical input to the team and UKPN Services bids Ensure robust design solutions for accurate tender submissions Lead in developing business opportunities and preparing proposals Assess cost/benefit trade-offs and support technical decision-making Identify areas for technological advancement while maintaining engineering standards Manage design engineers for project deliveryQualifications: Degree level or equivalent in engineering or science Excellent knowledge of power distribution, electrification, protection, and control systems Safety management qualification such as NEBOSH certificate or equivalent Membership of a professional body such as the IET Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership Basic knowledge of project managementHealth and Safety Requirements: Ensure all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements are considered Promote safe working methods and systems in design Mentor junior staff in Health & Safety matters Communicate and implement H&S policies Create a safe working environment for all staff and contractors Ready to take your career to the next level?
