Our Client are a busy food producer who distribute their products throughout the UK and Ireland. They have an opportunuty for an experiencedAccounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their Finance team. Duties/Responsibilities: Working as part of a small finance team, the successful candidates responsibilities will include: Processing of supplier purchase orders, invoices & monthly statement reconciliations. Closing of the Creditors list each month in preparation for Supplier Payments Credit control, managing the Debtors listing and communicating with customers. Monitoring of supplier pricing and liaising with the director regarding same. Prepare, complete and submit regulatory and statutory returns, including VAT. Bank reconciliations on a timely basis. Assist in week, month and year end close down processes. Assist in the development and reporting of management information on a weekly & monthly basis to include management accounts. Assist with ad hoc projects as required to develop administrative processes, reporting and IT systems to further advance commercial business decisions. Essential criteria: Qualified Accounting Technician (Accounting Technicians Ireland trained/similar accounting qualification or trained by experience). Recent experience working as part of a busy accounts team. Practical knowledge/proficiency in computerised accounts packages (previous experience using Sage 50 Accounts Professional is desired). Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Strong IT Skills - with a high level of expertise in use of Microsoft Excel. Desirable criteria: Experience using stock management systems within FMCG will be an advantage.
