Were looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Structural Services Team and create a real impact by taking responsibility for the preparation of structural design, associated analysis and calculations, working drawing packages, coordinating technical information, and specification writing, whilst delivering a comprehensive technical service in an efficient, effective and economic manner. In this role, you will: Deliver a Structural Engineering design and consultancy service, demonstrating competence and proficiency in spatial coordination, technical design, NBS specification writing, and emerging technologies and processes including Building Information Modelling (BIM) through use of appropriate design and modelling software. Provide specialist advice and support to ensure all relevant statutory and Health & Safety requirements and risks, relating to structural integrity, ground investigations etc are identified and effectively managed across a wide range of property types. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure that a project is delivered on schedule, to budget and achieving the outcomes set down for a successful delivery. Anticipate problems before they happen and find ways to reach project goals under constantly changing circumstances Communicate and collaborate with diverse clients and multidisciplinary design and delivery teams to support the development of briefs, carry out feasibility studies, undertake structural engineering design and project delivery Attend meetings and site visits as and when required, liaise with internal and outside bodies including contractors and other disciplines to provide technical advice, instruction, and reports, to achieve positive outcomes. In addition, you will ideally have: A portfolio of experience working as Structural Engineer within an engineering or multi-disciplinary practice Technical expertise in the preparation of structural engineering designs, drawings, and condition surveys, working as part of a design team, working with a variety of clients, stakeholders, and consultants. Experience of successfully working to RIBA work stages, project deliverables, ensuring budgetary control and meeting deadlines across a variety of projects and programs of work. A degree in Civil Engineering (BSc) or MSc in Structural Engineering. A high expectation of performance for themselves, a drive for continuous improvement and ability to contribute to a high performing team.
