Are you an accomplished Commercial Manager with a deep understanding of tunnelling and power sectors? We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead and oversee all commercial aspects across a portfolio of potential, existing, and new contracts. In this key role, you will be accountable for managing commercial risk, ensuring profitability, and communicating effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
* Commercial Strategy: Support the work-winning team by reviewing and identifying risks and responsibilities within tender packs and associated contractual terms and conditions. Develop and implement commercial strategies for both pre and post-tender phases.
* Project Leadership: Lead the transition of projects from tender to live execution, ensuring a smooth handover and clear understanding of scope and contractual obligations.
* Contract Management: Provide expert advice on standard construction contracts, including rights, obligations, and key provisions. Administer contracts, handle negotiations, and manage potential contractual risks.
* Financial Control: Oversee financial and commercial aspects, including profit and loss management, cash flow, KPIs, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), and Cost to Complete statements.
* Team Development: Review competencies of direct reports, ensuring they have the necessary training, qualifications, and behaviors. Lead HR activities within the Commercial team, including appraisals, talent management, and succession planning.
* Upskilling & Training: Contribute to the creation and design of development programs and employee upskilling activities to enhance team capabilities.
Who We're Looking For:
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of NEC contracts (all options).
* In-depth knowledge of construction law and standard contract forms.
* Strong financial management skills, with experience in tendering and pre-contract cost analysis.
* Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Project, and Word, along with program analysis and Earned Value measurement.
* Experience in conflict avoidance, management, and dispute resolution.
* Proven ability to negotiate and settle Interim/Final Accounts.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and balance customer interests with business objectives.
* Valid CSCS card or equivalent (PTS, etc.), and a full UK driver's license.
