We have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Planner working within our Planning department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively planning and managing all production requirements within the organisation. Ensuring that all production is closely monitored in accordance with agreed targets. To Maximise efficiency whilst ensuring 100% delivery with minimal run out and wastage costs.
An overview of the role responsibilities:
1. Issue manufacturing plans for all production areas of the business
2. Creation of production schedules in APO using the preferred running profile to optimise line
3. efficiency and manning
4. Generating coding schedules for U30, NLC & Firebird
5. Issuing of BOMs in SAP for service areas
6. Receipt and processing of orders throughout the day via EDI, email or other methods
7. Liaise with the commercial department and customers in regards to orders and potential supply
8. issues
9. Maintain current forecasting tools to plan to the most accurate forecast figures
10. Proactively look at ways to drive planning efficiency
11. Liaise with warehousing and procurement if any shortfall of raw materials or over production should
12. occur
13. Collate and report performance against set KPI’s
14. Propose and implement continuous improvements in own area with evidence
15. Reconciling stock counts on a daily basis to ensure adherence to plan
16. Measure, minimise and publish expected obsolete/over stock reports
17. Ensure an 8 week forecast is kept up to date at all times for the procurement team
18. Maintenance of APO master data
19. Review production performance throughout the shift to ensure planned requirements will be
20. effectively achieved and manage the consequence of any unforeseen issues
21. To carry out AD HOC projects as and when requested
22. To perform any other task that is of a reasonable request in line with the supply chain department
23. Adhere to the company’s H&S policies and procedures
24. Adhere to the company’s Hygiene policies and procedures.
Candidates should have experience from a production planning or similar supply chain position with knowledge of scheduling software.
Ideally, candidates will have experience working within a fast-paced environment with the ability to plan their own work whilst working to deadlines and targets.
Candidates should have excellent communication and organisational skills with good attention to detail.
