We are currently recruiting for a:
Business Development Manager
Based: Springfield Road, Belfast
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00, Friday 08:30 – 16:00. Flexibility will be required depending on ad hoc event requirements. We are open to part time / job share options to suit the right applicant(s).
About this role:
Integral to delivering on the group specification strategy, the role of the Business Development Manager is to grow strategic key accounts through developing relationships across this rapidly growing sector. The post holder will bring to life the JP Corry door portfolio to architects, designers, builders and contractors alike, through their trusted knowledge and guidance. The role will deliver on objectives through collaboration with key stakeholders such as customers, the JP Corry door department, the wider business as well as our suppliers. Fulfilling this role will mean travel throughout Northern Ireland, within time evolving into the Republic of Ireland. Therefore, time will be spent on the road, working from home and from the Springfield Road as required.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and delivering sales presentations to existing and potential customers / clients
2. Creating project proposals and quotes for new and existing customers / clients
3. Following up on sales leads and seeing them through to completion
4. Proactively seeking opportunities for sales growth
5. Developing and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, builders, and contractors
6. Presenting and explaining products (CPD’s) to stakeholders
7. Assisting customers / clients in product selection based on their project requirements and budget
8. Guiding and advising customers / clients through the provision of technical assistance and product education
9. Attending trade shows and other industry events to promote the JP Corry product portfolio
10. Keeping abreast of industry standards, trends and new products
11. Working with the broader group sales team to achieve sales targets through the sales of door packages
12. Providing feedback to the product development team
13. Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary and reasonable for the success of the business
Suitable applicants will be/have:
1. Full and clean driving license essential
2. Proven to be successful (strong record of sales) in an external sales-based role, with evidence of basing your approach on strong sales analysis skills.
3. Knowledge of material supply chains and systems.
4. Prior experience of working with Architects, designers, builders and contractors
5. Flexible to travel within the island of Ireland and UK as and when required
6. Can work collaboratively with a broad spectrum of people at all levels
7. Ability to work as part of a wider team and independently.
8. Proactive and methodical approach to planning, organization and time management
9. Takes pride in delivering what you promise
