This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Criminal Justice Mental Health Team in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.

The role and function of the team is to offer advice, assessments, risk assessments, and provide some short term interventions for clients with mental health problems who are on the periphery of offending behavior or committed an offence.
The post holder will be required to comply with the organisations standing order and standing financial instructions and at all times, deal honestly with the organisation with colleagues and all those who have dealing with the organisation including patients, relative and suppliers.

You will form part of the criminal justice team to screen, assess, risk manage and where appropriate refer on to appropriate services. As an integral part of the service you will ensure the development of an effective interface between the team, other mental health services, the police, probation, Court and the prison service and contribute to the development of the team’s gateway and assessment role and support the risk management strategy.
The forever changing developments within the criminal justice field are well recognised and accepted within the team, and the team work to develop the service to ensure that they stay abreast of and national and local policy changes and the impact and effect this may have on service delivery.
