Job Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our team responsible for developing and maintaining AI infrastructure across Cadence's portfolio of design tools. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of computational software and artificial intelligence, helping to shape the future of Cadence's innovative solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the development of AI infrastructure that supports, for example, inference, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model quantization.
2. Assist in developing software systems and libraries to deliver AI-driven functionality across the whole Cadence organization.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI features that enhance Cadence's solutions.
4. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality, reliable software.
5. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI and machine learning.
6. Document technical processes and developments for knowledge sharing across teams.
Job Qualifications:
1. Good degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
2. Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python.
3. Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and frameworks.
4. Willingness to learn multiple programming languages.
5. Understanding of software development principles and practices.
6. Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
1. Experience with AI model deployment and inference.
2. Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques.
3. Knowledge of model optimization methods such as quantization.
4. Understanding of software library development.
5. Experience with version control systems (Git).
6. Exposure to computational software or design tools.
7. Interest in hardware design or semiconductor technology.
