About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to lead our Energy and Environmental Team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage a team of Energy and Environmental professionals to establish solutions for the decarbonisation of our property estate.
Energy Strategy: Develop and implement appropriate Environmental and Energy Strategies that encourage best practice and align with our Climate Change Initiatives.
Contract Management: Manage utility contracts for the County Council and ensure that renewable assets are installed and operating effectively.
Policy Development: Develop and implement policies to support the delivery of our Energy Strategy and the Sustainable Futures Strategy.
Requirements
Education: Degree or equivalent in Environmental Science or professionally registered with IEMA.
Experience: Substantial experience of team management and comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and policy.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and deliver successful energy management or improvement programmes.
