My client is a large civils company that specialises in the maintenance of Highways throughout the UK.
They are currently seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee the minor planned works aspect of the contract. Supervising a variety of works such as:
* Kerbing
* Drainage
* Pedestrian Railings
* Signage Schemes
The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the sub-contractors and working directly with the client. Duties will include:
* Building a strong working relationship with the client
* Scheduling works to be carried out and liaising with relevant stakeholders such as Traffic Management
* Checking that the work has been carried out to a satisfactory standard and feeding back to sub-contractors where required.
* Programme Jobs
* Liaising with sub-contractors, client and other stakeholders to ensure works are carried out as required.
* Calculate the cost of works and liaise with client and sub-contractors
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
* Proven experience of working as a supervisor in the Highways maintenance sector
* Good IT skills
* A good knowledge of kerbing, drainage and other aspects relating to Highways Maintenance
* An ability to build strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors and other stakeholders
* Ability to plan works and ensure health and safety and other compliance is adhered to at all times.
This is initially an ongoing contract role but there may be the opportunity for this to become permanent in the future.
