Volunteer Coordinator (East)
Location: Home based - with travel required in and around the east of England. You much be located within the region, and be able to travel within the below mentioned counties. You will need a full UK driving licence and use of your own car, for which mileage will be paid.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa £33,458 per annum, pro rata, depending upon skills and experience, plus an allowance of £1,260 per annum, pro rata.
Areas Covered: Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire
Hours: Part time, 22.5 hours per week (some evening and weekend work may be required)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and self-motivated Volunteer Coordinator to join our team based in our East Region to deliver our 'Eyes On, Hands On' volunteering project.
About this Role and You
The 'Eyes on, Hands On' project is a new venture which seeks to develop a volunteer network to link communities in the UK with the CWGC sites in their local area. In this role you will develop opportunities to use volunteers to support and supplement the care provided by regional operations staff to CWGC commemorations.
You will liaise closely with the local Regional Manager, in-place Volunteer Coordinators and your volunteers, building and maintaining partnerships with a wide range of volunteer organisations and associations, ensuring regular engagement. You will also build upon established good working relationships with external cemetery groups where opportunities exist in relation to the project.
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication, administration, presentation and networking skills, an empathetic nature and experience working with a diverse range of people.
