Job Overview
We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team to support the development and growth of the college’s international commercial work.
Responsibilities
1. Lead on new business development in key international markets such as MENA, Europe, Latin America, and East Asia.
2. Scope and develop commercial opportunities in both the public and private sectors internationally on behalf of the College, both independently and through consortium partnerships.
3. Develop commercial revenue-generating activity related to educational consultancy, TVET and English language delivery, student and professional short course groups, international student recruitment for our mainstream programmes and English language summer school, in-country partnerships, and teacher training opportunities.
4. Create, identify, and access new commercial opportunities.
5. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders both nationally and internationally.
6. Advise on commercial project delivery as appropriate.
Qualifications
You will be educated to SCQF Level 9 level with a good knowledge of the FE and HE Sector in Scotland, the UK, and internationally.
Strong written communication skills are essential and will be used in the creation of high-quality proposals.
You will have a proven track record of achieving targets and income generation in a business development role, ideally in an international educational context.
With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will have experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
It is also essential that you have a good understanding of cultural differences and working internationally, including engaging with clients and stakeholders where English is not their first language. Experience of business development and networks in the MENA region and/or Latin America is desirable.
