Job Description We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner to join us in Cardiff You'll play a key role in the Retail HR team, as a strategic advisor to our Chief Operating Officer and the Customer Operations function, supporting the leadership team to drive a customer centric culture and efficient function delivering great outcomes for our customers You will lead a team of brilliant HR Business Partners to deliver the annual people plan, grow critical capabilities and optimise technology through the use of data and AI to enhance our customer experience. This role requires a deep understanding of HR practices, including strategic workforce planning, reward, leadership and talent development, employee relations and organisational design. You should have strong commercial acumen, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation. You'll need to be based near one of our sites (Cardiff, Hove or Solihull) and anticipate regular travel to Cardiff (c2-3 times per month). What you'll be doing Contributing to the development and implementation of the overall Retail People Plan, through active participation and by leading people programme projects across the business Providing proactive support and challenge to the senior management team on all aspects of people and organisation development, driving a high-performing culture and contributing to the business plan Creating and delivering local people plans to support this, ensuring they help deliver to critical business priorities and performance measures Leading the annual cycle of people activity, including pay review, performance calibration, and employee engagement Providing HR solutions to the business on employee engagement, organisational design/restructuring, talent and succession management, learning & development, performance management, and resource planning. Ensuring HR solutions represent an appropriate balance between external market practice and internal L&G policy and practice Working in partnership with the HR Director and business leaders to diagnose cultural levers and interventions that will drive the right culture Leading and driving organisational change initiatives by providing expertise in organisational design, change management, and engagement Utilising HR metrics and analytics to drive data-led decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programmes and services Qualifications Who we're looking for Experience as a strategic and commercial HR partner, supporting customer facing business area A passion for change and optimisation, with proven achievements in delivering customer centric cultural change Experience of leading organisational change with a focus on talent management, organisation design and culture change Experience of providing effective HR partnership to Executive level Experience with AI or tech transformation Essential experience in and understanding of employment law, HR policies and procedures A good understanding of Reward and People Development methodologies and current best practice.
