We are offering an exciting entry-level opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our IT Infrastructure Team as an Infrastructure Monitoring Analyst. No prior experience is requiredjust a basic understanding of computing and a passion for technology. This role is ideal for recent IT graduates in Computer Science or Cyber Security who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Based at our client site in Newport, South Wales, you will be joining an exceptionally talented team, supporting an Aerospace customer with their Infrastructure across 3 data centres in the UK. Initially 5 days a week on site, which will switch to a more hybrid working arrangement as you gain experience and develop.
What you'll be doing:
* Assisting in the deployment and management of infrastructure monitoring tools.
* Supporting the development of monitoring policies, alerts, and dashboards.
* Responding to infrastructure alerts and working alongside senior engineers to resolve issues.
* Analysing monitoring data to identify trends and improve performance.
* Collaborating with the client, infrastructure teams, and security to understand monitoring needs.
* Maintaining accurate documentation of monitoring configurations and response procedures.
* Participating in team training and actively developing your technical skills.
What youll bring:
* Recent graduate with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
* Any exposure to monitoring tools or similar (gained through coursework, personal projects, or internships)
* A keen eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise in IT infrastructure and security.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues.
* Good communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork.
* Basic understanding of scripting languages (such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
* A foundational understanding of security concepts within IT.
