Job Summary:
As an Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the finance department. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing and recording invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
* Assisting with payroll administration
* Reconciling bank and credit card statements
* Preparing and analysing financial reports
* Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
* Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
* Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
* A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* A relevant financial qualification, such as:
* AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians)
* ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
* CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)
