Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all customs and excise activities, ensuring seamless compliance with HMRC regulations.
In this position, you will manage the team to guarantee that all customs and excise administration processes are completed accurately and efficiently. You will also be responsible for writing Standard Operations Procedures and maintaining continuous improvement of site Work Instructions related to the C&E Function.

Key responsibilities:
* Manage the team to ensure accurate completion of customs and excise administration processes.
* Collate and submit periodic reports/declarations to HMRC on behalf of GXO and third-party operations.
* Develop and maintain Standard Operations Procedures and improve depot customs administrative processes.
* Motivate and develop the C&E Administrative team.
Requirements:
* Excellent working knowledge of HMRC legislation applicable to Customs & Excise warehousing.
* Expert numeracy and analytical skills with advanced Excel spreadsheet knowledge.
* Duty Management system expertise and working knowledge of CDS essential.
* Effective communication skills for building relationships with customers, colleagues, and government agency bodies.
