Take on a pivotal role as our new Factory Training & Continuous Improvement Officer! You'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining training metrics, ensuring all staff are well-trained in core processes, and driving a culture of continuous improvement within our manufacturing environment. This role offers the chance to develop operating procedures, support key projects, and foster best practices, setting you up for impactful growth and development.
In this role, you will:
* Take ownership of training plans, keeping metrics and documentation accurate and up-to-date
* Design and document operating procedures, gaining approvals as needed across departments
* Lead the induction and training of new employees, guiding them to become competent production operatives
* Coach staff in production best practices and lean principles, supporting Continuous Improvement activities and minor Kaizen projects
* Work with the Continuous Improvement & Training Supervisor on complex projects, gathering and analysing data to provide valuable insights
Skills required for Factory Training & Continuous Improvement Officer:
* Solid experience in a training environment
* Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) and strong interpersonal abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Ideally knowledge of lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM) and fault-finding techniques (5Y analysis)
* Desirable: Train the Trainer certification and Six Sigma Yellow Belt (training available if needed)
