Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: OL2
Pay rates: From £12.83-£13.83 per hour
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, no weekends
Reeson Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and warm SEN Teaching Assistant to work with one of our partner primary schools in OL2 Oldham. The school is looking for a SEN teaching assistant to start as soon as possible who can commit on a long-term, full-time basis.
This SEN teaching assistant role will include supporting students with additional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. The school offers a friendly and welcoming environment to all its staff and is looking for a new addition who embodies a positive outlook towards their work.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Warm and friendly approach to teaching with a drive to improve outcomes for all pupils.
* Encouraging pupils, motivating them to reach their optimum and practicing exceptional behaviour management in line with school policy.
* The ability to work as part of a team abiding by the terms of the school's policies.
* Great interpersonal skills, working hard to build strong relationships with both the students and staff in the school.
* A highly motivated individual who works hard to create a fun learning environment.
SEN Teaching Assistant Qualifications/Experience:
* Experience in supporting students with additional needs including autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
* Knowledge of special education practices and strategies, and familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
* The ability to collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
* Minimum of 6 months UK experience.
* Relevant qualifications preferred but not mandatory.
