Stores Manager Freightliner Heavy Haul Ltd Location: Leeds Who are we looking for? A vacancy has arisen for a Stores Manager at our Leeds Vehicle Maintenance Facility (LVMF). The successful candidate will form part of the management team of the Engineering Heavy Haul business that takes responsibility for the delivery of safe, reliable and cost-effective maintenance of locomotives and wagons to meet and exceed customer requirements. On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:. Demonstrable experience in a Materials / Stores Management position. Demonstrable experience in a people management role. Be analytical, innovative and constantly striving for improvement. Understanding and experience of the P2P Process. Have clear and concise understanding of managing “Compliance” and “Statutory” obligations. Have financial experience with budgets, productivity and efficiency analysis. What you key your responsibilities will be: Be a Safety leader - develop a proactive safety culture through positive engagement, continuous improvement and a complete focus to ensure the site and its team create and maintain the highest working standards. Support production - overcome daily obstacles to ensure safe, quality and reliable production. Ensure all Human Resource matters are dealt with in line with company policies and procedures in a timely manner, including first line disciplinaries, sickness, Goals and Objectives and recruitment. Day to Day processing of all Material functions at Leeds VMF and Bulk Wagons including but not exclusive to issuing components to vehicles in both physical form and in AMS, consumable stock checks, ordering fuel and PPE checks. Manage all Materials requests from other depots for material as required, including the booking of couriers and transferring of material on AMS as required. Communicate effectively and efficiency ensuring all suppliers, staff and contractors are informed on any relevant information, including contract review meetings, toolbox talks, team briefs, safety and engineering bulletins. Monitor and identify improvements to the Material supply chain relevant to the Leeds VMF and Bulk Wagons supply. Ensure all components/material procured are to correct standard set out by Freightliner policies. Lead all quarterly stock counts including physical counts and administration tasks for Leeds VMF and Bulk Wagons with assistance of Depot Management Team.
