Team – Implementation & Governance
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
Do you have experience in or enjoy coding? Have you taught yourself how to code in SQL and/or use Advanced Excel techniques including macros? Do you enjoy logic puzzles? Can you visualize how a change in one area may have further impacts in a chain of events? If so, then this role could be for you.
As a key member of the Pricing & Underwriting Governance Team, you will help deliver key pricing changes and turn new innovative pricing strategies into workable solutions across our specialised pricing systems, Excel end user applications and business claims and policy admin systems, working cross-functionally to align required changes.
You will need to be able to build effective working relationships with colleagues across the business, communicate project and pricing activities in a timely and efficient manner to stakeholders, design and create knowledge base documentation regarding our pricing coding and pricing processes, and answer pricing queries accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Actions
1. Implement Individual, Small Group and Large Corporate UK PMI rate reviews and new pricing factors.
2. Understand the practical implications of new pricing strategies and proactively feed these into pricing recommendations.
3. Deliver all pricing changes as required by Market Pricing, Technical Pricing and the VitalityHealth Change Programme including annual new product launch.
4. Accurately invite all individual and small group renewals including monthly renewal checks, weekly/daily releases, and provision of all accompanying spreadsheets.
5. Create and maintain all system, governance and process documentation as required.
6. Maintain existing quoting tools in Microsoft Excel.
7. Act as a point of contact for users of system and Excel Quote Tools, supporting them to help resolve issues and errors.
8. Test and implement improvements and fixes to the existing quoting system and tools.
9. Work with IT architects and technology partners to implement new versions of our pricing engine.
10. Support the release of all pricing related changes including on-site, outside of normal working hours, support for weekend IT releases.
11. Act as a focal point for all pricing system queries across the business.
What do you need to thrive?
1. Good knowledge of Maths/Statistics.
2. Experience of implementing pricing reviews and building new pricing factors in an insurance pricing system.
3. Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel at an Advanced level (including macros and complex formulas).
4. Knowledge of the UK health insurance market, or relevant transferable skills and knowledge from other financial services industries such as Life insurance or general insurance.
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes.
6. High level of attention to detail.
7. Ability to understand and apply commercial principles.
8. Ability to translate customer requirements into solutions.
9. Ability to work in a high pressured, deadline based environment, and to work calmly under pressure.
